The inaugural International Translational Anesthesia Congress, alongside the first Specialized Anesthesia Technology Market, commenced on May 3, 2025, at Imam Khomeini Hall of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences. The event was held with the esteemed participation of senior health authorities, including the Chancellor of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, prominent professors, specialists, and experts in the field. The congress was organized through the distinguished efforts of the University’s Vice-Chancellor for International Affairs.

During the opening ceremony, Dr. Mohammad Esmaeil Gheydari, Chancellor of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences; Dr. Seyed Sajjad Razavi, Deputy Minister for Treatment at the Ministry of Health and Medical Education; and Dr. Masoud Habibi, Deputy Minister for Cultural and Student Affairs, delivered addresses emphasizing the critical importance of the field of anesthesia and its attendant challenges. They underscored the congress’s pivotal role in promoting international collaboration and enhancing global academic exchanges.

The congress was further distinguished by the presence of Dr. Yaser Abdulzahra Al-Hajjaj, Faculty Member at the University of Basra, Faculty Member at the University of Tehran’s Faculty of World Studies, and Cultural Counselor of the Republic of Iraq in Iran, whose participation exemplified the spirit of international cooperation underpinning the event.

Held from May 3 to 5, 2025, at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, the congress served as a prestigious forum for the dissemination of interdisciplinary knowledge and the presentation of the latest scientific and technological advancements in the field of anesthesia.
